Lidia opened the doors to Expert Events in 2006 to bring together her industry experience and passion for creating memorable experiences for people to share their knowledge. Having spent more than thirty years in the meetings and events industry, Lidia has been instrumental in the success and management of a multitude of events around the world.
Lidia is a strong and humble leader and respected by her peers and clients, and well known throughout the industry. Through her long-established and ever-expanding network Lidia connects her clients with the best-suited and most beneficial suppliers, venues and sponsors. Combined with her expertise, multi-tasking capabilities and friendly, approachable nature, her extensive industry network makes Lidia a sought-after event management leader and professional.

Marika joined the Expert Events team in 2021, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge including over 18 years experience in the association and not-for-profit sector after completing a degree in Communications, majoring in Journalism. She began her career working in various roles within the Optometrists Association Australia, a membership based organisation. In recent years Marika had been managing an eye health charity, alongside a Board of Directors. In this role she organised numerous eye health projects, alongside many volunteer health professionals.
Marika’s knowledge of the association and not-for-profit sector allows her to integrate into new organisations with ease. She has worked on all facets of association management including member communications, strategic planning, lobbying government, financial strategies and funding applications as well as formulating governance documents and implementing associated structures.
Senior Conference Manager
Leanne joined the Expert Events team in 2009. Her entry into the conference and events industry in 2003 was a natural progression given her proficiency in time management, organisation and customer service. Leanne’s hands-on experience has enabled her to successfully organise conferences for associations, government bodies and franchise networks, as well as charity balls, exhibitions and trade shows.
Leanne’s experience with a broad range of companies has equipped her with skills that enable her to make meaningful contributions to any role she fulfils. Her commitment to achieving goals, meeting deadlines and delivering client satisfaction is integral to making the events she works on so successful and the client testimonials she regularly receives.

Since 2007 Vanessa has worked in a variety of event roles in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Starting her career in tropical North Queensland, Vanessa worked in event sales for two 5-star hotels. In 2013 Vanessa spent a year in Canada working as the Project Manager for a variety of outdoor public events for the Calgary Downtown Association including their annual Canada Day celebration which attracted over 10,000 patrons. The last five years have seen Vanessa move between Australia and New Zealand working as a professional conference organiser for a range of associations across a broad range of industries. She has been a valuable member of the team since 2019.
With a diploma in event management, significant and varied experience in event administration and production, Vanessa has combined her skills and experience in the Conference Manager role at Expert Events.
Zoe is a talented events professional with more than nine years’ experience coordinating everything from international conferences, corporate events, meetings, fundraisers and everything in between. Combining her experience and study at the University of Queensland to complete a Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management (Event Management), she has great communication skills and attention to detail.
With four years PCO experience, Zoe has managed small meetings right through to large international conferences for over 2000 delegates, and brings a wealth of industry knowledge and enthusiasm to her role at Expert Events.
Zoe is also an OnAIR Certified Virtual Event Planner who excels at running online events such as conferences and meetings through the online platform by EventsAIR.
Sarah brings with her over seven years’ experience across the hospitality, events and exhibition industries to the Expert Events team. Combined with a Bachelor of Business majoring in event management and marketing she has strong communication, time management and customer service skills.
Sarah’s experience within exhibitions and trade shows has enabled her to coordinate a multitude of successful exhibitions/events gaining extensive knowledge across build and structure development, managing exhibitor requirements and scheduling/time management required for a seamless install. Sarah’s hands-on experience combined with her positive attitude and attention to detail provides a strong foundation for her role as Conference Coordinator.
Conference Coordinator / Graphic Designer
Meg joined the Expert Events team in 2019 and brings with her a wealth of marketing and design skills and knowledge. With a degree in Communications and Graphic Design, her skill set, eye for detail and customer service approach make her a valuable asset to our team, and she has deep involvement with all conferences. With a passion for purpose-built, user friendly branding that speaks to the desired target audience Meg has over 15 years’ experience in events and graphic design across a broad range of industries.
Lisa joined the Expert Events team in 2018, with the intent to streamline all things finance. Throughout her 25+ years’ experience working with a broad range of companies. the government and other organisations, Lisa has developed acute financial, administrative and clerical skills and which she now uses to support the Expert Events team.
Lisa has a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, commitment to deadlines and knack of numbers. Working closely with our team, Lisa’s responsibilities are to accurately record all financial transactions and financial records of our clients and the company.
