Software and cyber
security

Expert Events makes use of the latest security tools and technology to safeguard our network and our clients’ intellectual property (IP) against online threats. Our software solutions include EventsAIR, Office 365, Webroot, LastPass, Adobe Creative Cloud, Xero and Eway. Each offers advanced features and a cloud-based platform to guarantee the security and privacy of critical data.

Software

The EventsAIR and OnAIR technology is built specifically to take advantage of the Microsoft Azure Cloud secure environment. This platform was chosen as it provides a state-of-the-art cloud environment with the greatest flexibility, security and performance available today.

EventsAir is certified as PCI DSS Level 2 Compliant. This involves an extensive annual audit by a certified external PCI auditor, penetration tests, vulnerability scans and meeting over 280 security-related requirements.

Office 365 is a cloud-based version of the Microsoft Office suite. It includes access to Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as other productivity and communication services used by Expert Events, such as Teams (web conferencing) and SharePoint (online document storage).

Security features include multi-factor authentication to ensure that only authorised users can access their Office 365 account, data loss prevention (DLP) to prevent sensitive data from being accidentally shared with unauthorised parties, and advanced threat protection (ATP) to help protect and secure user data.

Webroot is an ideal solution to protect networks and devices against the latest cyber threats. The software has a low footprint and is cloud-based, allowing for real-time protection and easy management of multiple devices. Webroot also offers advanced features such as anti-phishing and anti-ransomware protection, helping prevent data breaches and loss of sensitive information.

By using Webroot, Expert Events can provide you with peace of mind. You know your IP is protected against cyber threats and your data is secure.

Expert Events uses LastPass for password management services, helping securely store and manage passwords and log-in credentials.

LastPass uses AES-256 bit encryption and PBKDF2 SHA-256 (used to reduce vulnerabilities of brute-force attacks) to secure data. It generates complex passwords, incorporating multi-factor authentication for an additional layer of security.

Adobe Creative Cloud is a collection of applications and services that gives Expert Events access to a variety of creative tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and others for use in graphic design, web development, marketing and more.

Adobe Creative Cloud uses security measures such as secure authentication, data encryption, secure data centres, and two-factor authentication to protect user data and secure the software. Adobe monitors and runs regular audits on the system to detect and address any security vulnerabilities.

For our accounting needs, Expert Events uses Xero, a leading provider of cloud-based accounting software. Xero’s platform offers a range of advanced financial management capabilities, including automated bank feeds, recurring invoicing and expense claims.

Xero places a strong emphasis on security and data protection, featuring advanced security measures such as two-factor authentication, password protection and encryption. This ensures the safety and confidentiality of its clients’ sensitive financial information.

Eway is a global omnichannel payment provider based in Australia, offering credit card payments for merchants through eCommerce platforms. Expert Events uses these services for online payment gateways, virtual terminal and recurring payment systems, to ensure seamless and secure transactions for our clients.

To ensure the security of transactions processed through its platform, Eway employs a number of safeguards. Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is the most important (PCI DSS). This is a set of security standards established by the major credit card companies to ensure that all companies processing, storing or transmitting credit card information operate in a secure environment.
