Over 1,100 delegates attended the 2023 Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference (QMIHSC) held at The Star on the Gold Coast in August 2023.

Keynote speakers graced the stage to impart invaluable lessons and share industry insights. This year’s theme, “Inside Looking Out,” underscored the commitment to enhancing both the physical and mental well-being of every worker in the mining industry.

Jointly hosted by the Queensland Government, Queensland Resources Council’, and mining unions (CFMEU and AWU), the QMIHSC stands as a collaborative effort towards fostering a culture of safety. This four-day gathering not only solidifies its position as one of the largest health and safety conferences in the southern hemisphere but also acts as a nexus for championing home-grown safety innovations.
